LAUREN H. DOUGHTY - Lawyer

Lauren is one of the founding partners of Doughty & Doughty. Lauren completed her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree specializing in English Language and Literature at the University of Western Ontario. Lauren lived abroad following her undergraduate studies, and went on to graduate from law school at the University of London in London, England. Prior to opening Doughty & Doughty, Lauren spent the first 6 years of her career practising law in Muskoka and the county of Simcoe as in-house counsel at Simcoe Muskoka, Child Youth and Family Services. Lauren currently practises family and real estate law. Lauren is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce, and currently sits on the Executive of the Muskoka Law Association as Secretary.

CLAIRE I. DOUGHTY - Lawyer

Claire is the other founding partner of Doughty & Doughty. Claire completed her Bachelor of Arts Honours degree (specializing in political science) at the University of Western Ontario.  Claire then attended law school at the University of Windsor and was called to the Ontario bar in 2012. Claire completed her articles and practiced in Ontario until early 2014 when she moved to Alberta. Claire practised family law and civil litigation in Alberta at a mid-size firm from 2014 to 2017 until she relocated back home to Huntsville to open Doughty & Doughty. Claire is thrilled to return to Huntsville to be living and working in her home community. Claire is a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Muskoka Law Association and the Huntsville Lake of Bays Chamber of Commerce.

MADDIE KENNEDY - Legal Assistant

Maddie joined Doughty & Doughty in May of 2018. Also born and raised in Huntsville, Maddie completed her Bachelor of Arts (specializing in English Literature) at Nipissing University. After working as a law clerk for a large Real Estate Investment Trust in Toronto, Maddie is very happy to be back in Huntsville with her husband and dog.
